In terms of public transport, Brisbane has bus, rail and ferry services. Free bus services are available around the CBD on weekdays between 7 AM to 6 PM. Ferries (also known as CityCats) are very popular among tourists. The trains run on 10 lines and service the east, west and north parts of the city.


A TransLink go card system is used to pay fare for all these services.


The Brisbane Airport is situated in the north-east of the city and offers both international and domestic flights.

Brisbane offers a wide variety of leisure facilities. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the South Bank Parklands, the City Botanic Gardens, and the Brisbane Forest Park are visited daily by locals and tourists alike.
